Industrial Training @ STS

these are the three plans i've drawn since the last 3 weeks or so of industrial training here. it's not just the drawing, i had to measure up the place, check out the site, get the original idea and feedbacks from my supervisors where each drawing has its own person in charge, go for meetings and have the board make you change everything..well not everything.

but alhamdulillah, its not much a fussy work.

now i'm in charge for the scaffolding progress. not really monitoring the work, but rather charting their progress and dealing with the workleader so that they meet the deadline. frankly speaking, the latest progress i've taken is 0n 22nd April for 35% where the plan should actually have been 74%!!!! and we're supposed to be 100% this 30th April..hahaha.2 MORE DAYS TO GO. this is legendary!

so hopefully everything goes well for the TA (Turnaround) in Petlin. its a big thing actually, where the whole factory shuts down for maintenance work. i was told they are loosing RM3billion/month for the shutdown..and if we delay the maintenance, it'll cost both parties BIG MONEYYY. and probably less salary (for me~)

anyways, tomorrow will have to head down to Petlin to meet the TA Manager for his approval of the drawings. then pass them to the contract consultants. one thing i'm worried about is that i've never met this TA Manager before. and i was told that he's always mad during meetings..huhu.i have confidence with my work, so there should be no worries. ye ke?

one thing about these drawings, we could never get a clear picture if don't look at the whole plan. know each function, who to deal with, know the work flow..and one thing for sure, you have to be there to draw.

in life, you could never have that big picture of your life, if you don't know your objective of living, the functions you serve for others and yourself, who to deal with so that life has a bigger agenda than just living..and most of all, you have to be in the community to understand which part you could play and which part you should avoid being.

broQ: Still trying to adjust myself with 'Sunday Is the First Day of the Week'..being 22years old now, i'm already stuck with the 'Monday Is the First Day of the Week' syndrome

Blood Group Test

As a requirement for my industrial training under Science-Tech Solutions (STS) Sdn. Bhd., I had to undergo the NIOSH Oil Gas Safety Passport (OGSP) for future work access with PETRONAS. Anyway, I took the seminar a week later after my finals, just days before I depart to Terengganu..one thing that they needed from me apart for my passport size picture, was my blood type. I thought I had it done years ago when I did the kidney test in Pantai Hospital, but there wasn’t any documents related to my blood type at home. I only noticed this the night before the seminar! Hahaha..

This only meant that I had to go for a blood test. And it has to be done before I go to Terengganu. So the seminar was on Wednesday, I had Thursday to go for the blood test. But I didn’t. took Thursday as total holiday. Then it was left with Friday.

Being smart, I went to our family clinic (klinik Tengku Husni in Serdang) in the afternoon. Which was a very big mistake since they only take blood samples in the morning so that they could send it to the lab. So I referred to another clinic in Bangi. They had the same answer~

Knowing there was no other choice, I went back to Serdang and asked for alternatives. But there weren’t any. But there is one place that does blood test on Saturdays..Klinik Kesihatan Putrajaya. But they only do it for emergency cases. Blood groupings will be on Monday. But I was given the advice to try which I did. But only to be turned down. I went back to clinic Tengku Husni, and finally, the suggested me to go to Pathlab which was near to South City Plaza..Alhamdulillah. they were still open at 12pm.

All this is just the intro~

I was greeted by this very friendly Chinese auntie who then was the one who stuck the needle into me.
“You look nervous..Calm down la boy. It won’t hurt”
“Never took blood test before ah?”
“Pernah, but then it was years ago..I’ve forgot how the pain was”
“Don’t move ah..saya nak cocok ni”
“Aiyo boy! You gerak tadi..Tengok, blood not coming in”
“Nasib baik needle tak patah..ni I only used the small diameter tau”

All this talking is just the background story~

During that moment of waiting to be struck by the needle, I tried my best to calm down. Not to react and just to accept the pain. Although realizing that, I did react due to the small pain.

“the Muslim is like one body. Apart of it feels pain, all of the body will suffer too”
The hadith stated by RasuluLlah was clearly undoubtful..as it is the perfect analogy. I was pinned on the left arm, and that little pain was felt through the entire body creating a sudden reaction to withstand the pain or perhaps to just eliminate the pain. Even before the needle was struck, I saw the needle, thought of the pain that I’ll feel, it wasn’t only my left arm that was ready, but my entire body was prepared for it.

My story is just about a blood test pain. It’s not loosing an arm or a leg. Not even going through a big operation..So if the ummah is analogically a human body..then what kind of pain is it suffering from? Are we enduring the pain? Can we feel it? Is it so little that we don’t care..or too much till we’re left with no effort to fight back?

[3-Ali Imran:104] And from among you there should be a party who invite to good and enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong, and these it is that shall be successful.

If I refer back to my situation, there will be apart of my body that’ll react to the pain. If the pain is too much, then perhaps one part of the body will extremely react to end the pain. That’s the law, basic instinct, natural reaction.

Thus in the current situation the ummah (meaning the whole mankind) is facing, there will be apart of us that will do the right thing to solve the matter. Jihad, dakwah, politics, etc.

Then again, the question repeats:

we see great examples in the internet world, be it from proffesionals and also those who want to contribute and make a change like my friend; amir. be it who ever you might be, the task and responsibility to urge good deeds it rested upon each and everyones shoulders. and always remember, even a small deed as big as the smallest known atoms, it's all counted by Allah and for surely be rewarded.

[21-Al Anbiya':47] And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account.
